Since early childhood, Coelho knew he wanted to become an illustrator. He graduated in Graphic Arts from the University of Minas Gerais (UEMG) and transformed his childhood dreams into a profession; which he also pursued alongside another of his interests, the one for music.
Bruno Nunes Coelho is a Brazilian visual artist and musician. He loves music, deserts, Paul Auster’s short stories, sketchbooks and a coffee break.
His work has been awarded with the if Design Award (Germany, 2018), the International Latino Book Awards (USA, 2017), the Bid Dimad – Bienal Iberoamericana de Design (Spain, 2016) the Prêmio Lusos (Portugal, 2014), the Moscow Global Biennale of Graphic Design Golden Bee (Russia, 2014), the Prêmio ABRE (Brazil, 2014) and the Red Dot Awards (Germany, 2013).
He plays music under the nickname of El Conejo and with the Brazilian ensemble Constantina. He also works as the music director from the French-Brazilian label La Petite Chambre Records.
